ABOUT CAPTAIN RUSSELL

Captain Russell
Captain Russell in Denver

As a life-long flight simmer and aviation nut, I enjoy all things having to do with aircraft and aerospace. My father worked for Frontier Airlines back in the 1970s and I have been around jet fuel, roaring engines and airports and air shows all of my life.

An entrepreneur, digital strategist and graphic designer by day, my attention to all things simming has been a constant theme in my life. I created BRAVO 737 during the pandemic in 2020 and began experimenting with simulation livery design for X-Plane in 2021 and later for MSFS 2020 in 2022. I began posting videos of segments of my flights in 2022 and starting streaming in 2023. As a member of the Flight Simulation Association, I enjoy the hobby as well as the sense of community flight simulation brings. My goal is to share my passion with others and help the as well as learn new ideas and perspectives from others. Feel free to check out the official BRAVO 737 YouTube Channel.

ABOUT THE TULSA AIR AND SPACE MUSEUM

“Honoring the Past, Inspiring the Future.”

The museum’s mission is carried out in a stimulating setting that includes inspirational stories of aerospace pioneers and events, priceless aircraft, computer flight simulators, aerospace based curriculum, and STEM education resources and programming.

Hands-on activities have been proven to enhance learning: as a result, group tours are interspersed with activities and aircraft that students can actually touch. Open cockpits and multiple simulators including: space shuttle landing, P51, manned maneuvering unit, and hot air balloon are all included to help students comprehend the principles of flight as well as the technology utilized by astronauts, pilots, and scientists.

Every year TASM provides hundreds of group tours and hands-on activities for school field trips. Approximately 60% of visitors to the museum are college-aged and younger. Over 40% of admissions are school field trips. As a consequence, TASM has developed a reputation throughout northeastern Oklahoma as a premier destination for young families.
